[Discussion] Have a friend who worked as a music archivist, specifically lesser known early 1900s artists. Friend wants to make playlists and give historical context to the music. Would anyone be interested? leprosexy

Hey everyone, sorry if this isn't the right subreddit, but I was hanging out with a friend a few days ago who said they were thinking of starting a blog to share some of their musical discoveries from having to listen to hours upon hours of old music while working for The ARChive (Wikipedia link for those who want some context).

As the title says, I'm pretty sure the friend's job was specifically to listen to & archive music from the early 1900s, but in particular, musical artists who were lesser known and not popular and well-distributed white artists, so basically the obscure stuff. They want to share their knowledge with the world by creating a blog & sharing playlists based around specific ideas, along with adding in some historical context, but didn't seem set on how to go about it or get readers.

In our talks, I asked if they'd considered sharing their knowledge with reddit, but they're not much of a redditor and said they weren't quite sure how to navigate the platform. The conversation kinda drifted from there, but it got me thinking... perhaps I could help connect all of you like-minded people with this person?

Would anyone be interested? Should I ask them if they'd be willing to do an AMA? Other ideas?
