TIL Martin Luther's son, Paul, was a survivor of the bubonic plague. After surviving, he dedicated his life to chemistry and medicine, developing the pharmaceuticals Unguentum ex nitro, Magistrum perlarum, Magistrum collorum, and Aurum potabile.
