TIL an off-duty Brazilian policeman in uniform had a cell phone in his back pocket when he visited his parents to do laundry. His parents were being held hostage by 2 robbers; when the policeman turned to flee, the robbers shot him in the buttock, but his Nokia Lumia 520 phone stopped the bullet.
