SpaceX's and Boeing's crew capsules just passed crucial tests. Boeing’s Starliner completed a pad abort test, showing it could ferry astronauts away from a launch-site problem by reaching 650 mph in just 5 seconds. And SpaceX successfully tested Crew Dragon's parachutes 13 consecutive times.
