LPT: When saying something negative to someone (rejection, for example), deliver the rejection first and then say the niceties. For example, instead of saying “Thank you for the suggestion but I cannot do that,” say “I cannot do that but thank you for the suggestion.” It comes off more polite.

LPT: Don't celebrate Valentine's day, on Valentine's day. Celebrate days or weeks after when restaurant prices are normal and less people. It'll be easier to get reservations, candy and vday products will be marked down significantly.
